Electoral Roll Name Change (AEC)

You can change your name on the electoral roll via the form below unless you believe that having your name on a publicly available electoral roll may engender the safety of you or your family, in which case you will need to contact the Australian Electoral Commission on 13 2326.

Registered voters need to prove identity when updating their name and/or address, and the easiest way to do this is adding your driver’s licence details on the form.  It does not matter if your drivers licence is in your old or new name.  If you do not have a driver’s licence you can have two registered voters who have known you for at least one month to sign your form declaring they have sighted your ID.

If you are not sure if you are enrolled, or where you are enrolled, it is a good idea to check with the AEC online before completing the form below.
